Tamara Bretting supports swimming and diving programs at Laramie High School

LARAMIE, Wyoming (ACSD #1 RELEASE) — Laramie High School has selected coach Tamara Bretting as its new head swimming coach for boys and girls. His more than ten years of coaching experience and expertise in the sport will be a boon to these youth teams.

After three decades of leading LHS swim teams, veteran coach Tom Hudson has stepped down to pave the way for the next coach. Coach Bretting is not new to creating athletes from college students. She has worked with Hudson for the past few years and considers him an invaluable mentor, going on to say:

“I’m excited and grateful to have the opportunity to follow in Tom’s footsteps for the position of head coach. He’s been an incredible mentor over the past 14 years, and I know his shoes will be tough to fill. , but I like these teams and I’m happy that they allow me to take the lead.

But Bretting will no doubt bring his flair to the role. LHS Athletic Director Ronald Wagner said:

“We are thrilled to announce that Coach Tamara Bretting will be the new Head Coach for Boys and Girls at Laramie High School, pending school board approval. Coach Bretting has 14 years of experience with Coach Hudson and has been instrumental in the recent success of the LHS swimming and diving program.His experience and relationship with all program partners, along with his personal knowledge of the sport, will provide the program with a new terrific leader.

Coach Bretting hopes to carry on the traditions established by Hudson and maintain the fantastic performance she has witnessed from these teams.
