Knowing about climate change, Bengalureans are waking up to cloudy skies and a cool breeze. According to the IMD official, the sky will remain overcast due to the cyclonic circulation over the Gulf of Mannar and its surroundings. Meanwhile, some netizens and TV networks claim the sudden change in the forecast is due to a sun outage. Sunbursts occur every year, in the fall and spring, and last about a week each time. During solar outages, the sun is in direct line behind a satellite transmitting signals by cable. When the sun is aligned with a satellite, the solar radiation and broadband noise from the sun emitting interferes with the signal from the satellite and thus causes a brief interruption in the signal.
