Filipinos were glued to their TV screens to watch the swearing in of the 17th President of the Philippines, Ferdinand Marcos Jr., aka Bongbong Marcos.
The regular broadcast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 30 was halted to make way for coverage of inaugural activities.
Now, which of the television networks has reached the most viewers?
Note that the term used is “reach”, which is the percentage of the audience that saw the cover. Evaluation represents the percentage of viewers who watched a particular show.
Based on overnight TAM data from Nielsen Philippines, GMA-7 coverage along with Gtv simulcast had a combined net reach of 18.7% in Total Philippines. The data would equate to more than 15.2 million viewers nationwide.
The GMA-7 cover was anchored by Atom Araullo and Pia Arcangel.
TV5 coverage comes second, with a net audience of 6.1%.
TV5 coverage was led by News5 chief Luchi Cruz-Valdes, Ed Lingao, Gretchen Ho and Maeanne Los Banos.
ABS-CBN’s coverage, broadcast on A2Z Channel 11 and Kapamilya Channel, achieved a total net reach of 4.2%.
ABS-CBN coverage was anchored by Lynda Jumilla and Henry Omaga Diaz.
