The Sanibel Sea School will be offering a variety of after-school programs for the fall semester.
Sessions will take place on Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Topics will rotate weekly and consist of favorites like surfing, seining and ocean art. There will also be several new sessions.
It will launch After School Birding on October 19. Birdwatching, or birdwatching, is fun or scientific birdwatching or research. Participants will grab binoculars and explore the east end of Sanibel, learning to identify birds by call, plumage, flight patterns and more.
Another new topic will be After School SEA Lab on November 2. The Sanibel Sea School Science, Experiments and Activity Lab is a mobile science lab equipped with microscopes, smart TV, touch tank and lab equipment. Participants will conduct beach experiments in the field using the laboratory.
Open to ages 6-13, the cost is $25 per session per participant.
