His wife, Joni Lamb, announced the televangelist’s death during the Daystar Facebook show on Tuesday. She said her husband had diabetes but was in good health and had been hospitalized after being diagnosed with COVID-19.

“He never talked about it, but he had diabetes, but he kept it under control. He was very healthy, he ate healthy, he maintained his weight and always kept his sugar level at a good level. But trying to treat Covid and pneumonia, the different protocols that are used, including many protocols that we’ve talked about here on Daystar, and we’ve used them, and I’ve used them and I’ve been through Covid in a flash It caused his blood sugar to go up and just his oxygen to go down and that’s why he went to the hospital, so he could get oxygen,” Joni Lamb said. “He believed 100% in everything we’ve talked about here on Daystar and helping so many people around the world with early protocol treatments for Covid. We’re still sticking to that, obviously.”

Joni Lamb said her “husband’s heart just gave out”.

Marcus Lamb has often spoken out against COVID-19 vaccines on his show. In an episode earlier this year featuring anti-vaccine activists Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Del Bigtree, Lamb said the COVID-19 vaccine was “not really a vaccine,” but an “experimental vaccine.” which was “dangerous”. Marcus Lamb alleged that people were dying or suffering neurological damage from the vaccine.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says COVID-19 vaccines “are safe and effective” and that any adverse effects after vaccination “are rare but can occur”. People who are not vaccinated against COVID-19 were 11 times more likely to die from the disease and 10 times more likely to be hospitalized with the disease, according to a study published by the CDC.
Marcus Lamb’s son, Jonathan Lamb, described his father’s COVID-19 diagnosis as a “spiritual attack from the enemy” while hosting the show on November 23. “There is no doubt in my mind that this is a spiritual attack from the enemy. As much as my parents went here to update everyone on everything that is happening in the pandemic and of some of the ways of dealing with Covid, there’s no doubt the enemy is not happy with that, and they’re doing everything they can to take out my dad,” Jonathan Lamb said.

Joni Lamb described the disease as a “roller coaster ride” on that same episode. She asked people in November to “pray specifically for [Lamb’s] lungs to clean, Covid pneumonia, and pray that his oxygen levels continue to be strong and increase and that we can wean him off oxygen and then bring him home.

A statement from Daystar Television Network said in part: “The family asks at this time for their privacy to be respected as they mourn this difficult loss, and wish to express their deep love and gratitude for all who have prayed during the battle for Marcus’ health. Continue to uplift them in prayer in the days ahead.”
