Mexican Train Expres Dominoes is from 9:30 am to 11:30 am every Tuesday at the ACC’s Mr. Briggs Center.
Ready for a fun, addictive, fast-paced game that has lots of surprising twists? Join us for Mexican Train Express. This game of dominoes has no partners and can be played with two, three, four, five or more players. We will show you some tricks and techniques. You can join our class at any time of the year.
Then at 1:30 p.m., learn about ancient Rome, at the M. Briggs Center and via Zoom. Rome, Italy remained for centuries the center of Western civilization. Join Fr. Tyler – a Catholic priest – as he shares some of his experiences living and studying in the ancient city. The multimedia presentation will take us through the streets of Rome to discover its ancient secrets, explore its most important monuments, visit its most beautiful churches and even discuss the best places in the city for a cup of caffè and a plate of spaghetti alla carbonara. Rome has so much to offer – come and experience what la bella vita is all about.
Father Tyler Bischoff has been the parish administrator for All Saints Parish in Alpena since June 2021. He was born and raised in Tawas City. After graduating from Tawas Area High School, he received his BA in Philosophy and Classics from the Pontifical College Josephinum in 2011. He studied at the Pontifical North American College in Rome, Italy from 2011 until his ordination. priesthood in 2015. Since his ordination, he has served as associate pastor in Gaylord, East Tawas and Oscoda.

Nagy is a valued board member of ALL. In addition to planning the Happening, organizing the monthly Moveable Feast, writing articles for The Alpena News and bringing her wisdom to meetings, she manages to find time to travel and then share her experiences with ALL .
Then at 1pm join ALL for Pinochle at Mr. Briggs Ctr. Julie Byrnes invites you to join her and others in the single deck pinochle. All pinochle players are welcome.

This presentation will be a brief overview of the making of the popular “The Lost Resorts and Cottages of Long Lake” book series.
Dave Distler is a retired electronics industry executive whose travels include all states and four continents. He has written five books and produced a local documentary film in Indiana. He was born in West Germany after World War II to a USAF airman stationed near Frankfurt. He attended Purdue University where he studied aviation. He is married and has two children and two grandchildren. He currently lives in the Indianapolis area and has a summer home in Long Lake.
Every Friday, join ALL for the Contract Bridge from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mr. Briggs Center. This is an ongoing group of diverse players that welcome all players at all times. We are a teaching class but also welcome experienced players.
