Auburn’s non-conference game for the 2022 season is scheduled for an afternoon kickoff at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Auburn will host Penn State Sept. 17 on the Plains for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff on CBS, the channel announced Wednesday. The game will mark the first SEC broadcast on CBS of the season.

The Penn State game is the first game on Auburn’s 2022 schedule to have an announced kickoff time and network television. The Tigers open the season Sept. 3 at home against Mercer, then host San Jose State in Week 2 before hosting Penn State at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
The Nittany Lions’ trip to the Plains will cap a back-and-forth streak between the two programs. Penn State hosted Auburn at Beaver Stadium last September in the Tigers’ first-ever trip to University Park, Penn. The Nittany Lions won that game, 28-20, in their annual White Out game.
This year’s game will mark the fourth all-time game between Auburn and Penn State, and it will be the first in the series played at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Penn State holds a 1-2 advantage in the all-time series, with the only two meetings before last season coming in bowl games – the 1996 Outback Bowl in Tampa, Fla., and the Capital One 2003 Bowl in Orlando, Florida. .
