What do I smell? I think it’s pumpkin spice with maybe a hint of nutmeg…. Oh and maybe there’s cinnamon and holly in the mix! It’s starting to look and smell like the holidays! I love the scent of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Just imagining the smells makes me smile with anticipation and excitement. All the talk about baking, cooking and food – the joys of sharing it all with family and friends. Planning holiday get-togethers, where everyone is talking at the same time and laughing and joking and reminiscing about past holidays, brings such a joyful feeling of family time and happiness.
While there are trips to plan and gatherings to plan, remember to relax and enjoy the Thanksgiving long weekend. Maybe your pleasure is holiday shopping or sitting around the campfire with hot chocolate and s’mores or just watching football on TV and guessing who the winners might be. Be grateful for every family moment, every triangle dispute, every holiday dessert, and the last spoonful of cranberries eaten together. Make this Thanksgiving your best holiday yet.
