Ashwini Vaishnaw Encourages IIT Bhubaneswar Students to Participate in Starter Programs

Honorable Minister of Railways, Communication, Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw Ji during his visit to IIT Bhubaneswar on Sunday encouraged students to participate in the programs of startup.

Encouraging students for the startup program, Shri Vaishnaw informed that India now has 74,000 startups, down from just 400 in 2014-15. Previously, while visiting the laboratories of IIT/Bhubaneswar, Shri Vaishnaw felt happy and suggested new ideas and innovations in the Azadi Mahotsav period.

Shri Vaishnaw also handed over the Indian government’s endorsement letter to IIT Bhubaneswar for inclusion in the chip start-up program, which will be the country’s 31st institution for semiconductor readiness.

● Will get the Center of Excellence for 5G if students provide at least 10 usage techniques.

A challenge for the students of IIT Bhubaneswar Shri Vaishnaw said if the students provide at least 10 techniques for 5G, then IIT Bhubaneswar will get the center of excellence to have 5G uses.

Exchanging ideas with IITians in Bhubaneswar, Shri Vaishnaw also said that IIT Bhubaneswar will partner with Gati Shakti for the development of railway technology, if proposals are received.

Among others in the program, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Singh, President and Board of Directors of ITI and Prof. PV Satyam, DEAN of ITI Bhubaneswar also spoke on the occasion.
